Young German learners resolved to devote more of their time to the study of the German Language, after the organizer, Hayford A. Anyidoho has delivered the message and the aim of the German Language day , which set a motivational ton.
November 14: Ghana Institute of Languages – East Legon
Future language experts and translators set their mind toward a more serious learning of the German Language, after the welcoming and motivational address of the Head of the School of Translators, Mrs Rita Gyedu, after which the organizer, Hayford A. Anyidoho delivered the message and the aim of the German Language day.
November 16: Methodist University College – Dansoman
After the workshops leaded by Hayford A. Anyidoho and his team made of 9 colleagues , the students resolved to found a German Club, as they discovered the beauty of the language and their interest in pursuing the learning after the beginner’s level. The organizer and country director of the Ghanaian branch of the Verein Deutsche Sprache assured them that he shall help them through.
November 22: University of Cape Coast
Host: The French Department
The Dean of the Faculty of modern languages, Dr Dora Adu- Buandoh in her welcome address expressed her heartfelt acknowledgment and her happiness about the celebration of the German Language Day at the premises of the faculty and stated her readiness to support any procedure that would help reestablish the teaching of German at the faculty, as it was till the seventies. She was followed by Dr S. P. Krakue and Dr. Antoine De Souza, both Staff of the French Department.
After the workshops leaded by Hayford A. Anyidoho and his team made of 9 colleagues , the students resolved to found a German Club, as they discovered the beauty of the language and their interest in pursuing the learning after the event. A provisionary executive board of five members was selected and chaired by Mr. Collins Obih-Mills , student and past member of the German Club of Accra Academy.
Dr. Florian Carl, a German native of the Music and dance department resolved to take charge of the German lectures at the French Department and express his readiness to start as soon as possible.

Before Hayford A. Anyidoho and his team arrived at the premises Dr. Heike Edelmann-Okinda, Head of the German Unit of the French Department prepared the ground with her powerful and motivational presentation on study in Germany.

Hayford A. Anyidoho opened the event as usual with his
motivational word after which he gave the opportunity to the members of his
team to have an encounter with the students.
After the workshops and the awarding ceremony Young German learners resolved to devote more of their time to the study of the German Language.

Oppong-Mensah, the Director of Opoku Ware School (the “only”School in Ghana, as he proudly used to refer to) who overwhelmed his guests with a fabulous fairy tale like introduction of the School. He was followed by Mrs. Alberta Jardie, founding member and patron of the German Club of Opoku Ware School (newly added to the list of the PASCH-Schools in Ghana, partner schools of the German Ministry of foreign affairs). Mrs. Alberta took Hayford A. Anyidoho and his team through the hard and doubtful beginnings of the German Club. She also expressed her happiness about the progress of the Club.
