On 18 February 2015, Mr Robert Quee, the Sierra Leonean boyfriend of Ms Eva Asante, a German national and Director of the Language Department of the Goethe-Institut (German Cultural Centre), met me, Hayford Amedji-dela Anyidoho and another colleague, Mr Paul Kossi Dzampah, at the canteen of the Goethe-Institut (German Cultural Centre Accra) at about 4.30pm and made a very serious threat against my life.
He accused me of harassing his "wife" in the person of Mrs Eva Asante and demanded that I stop doing so if I did not want to be physically harmed by him. He also said that if he was taken to court for harming me, money would be paid for his release while the harm was already done. He claimed that I had written a letter that had become a great worry to Mrs Asante, his 'wife'.
Given that Mrs Asante's boyfriend, Robert Quee, comes from a war zone where atrocities have been committed against the physical bodies of human beings, I believe that his threats should not be taken as a joke.
It will be recalled that the letter in question came to light as a result of the mediation between myself, Mrs Eva Asante (Head of Language Department of the Goethe-Institut Accra) and Mr Robert Sobotta (Director of the Goethe-Institut Accra) on behalf of the German teachers of the Goethe-Institut Accra.
On the 12th of March 2015, Ms Eva Asante terminated the teaching contract of Mr Paul Kossi Dzampah, who has been renewed at the beginning of each new term for the past 17 years, on the grounds that the relationship between him and her (Ms Eva Asante) has been good at times and bad at times. The truth is that Paul has always stood up for justice, defended his colleagues and criticised the decisions of Mrs Asante.
